One of my hobbies is photography
I work in both colour and Black and White but prefer B&W. I like street photography but also like photographing kids, I always try to take
photographs with natural light, even indoors. I hate flash.
This is an early example of my work, in fact my first roll of B&W film. It was of a hoarding in the middle of Manchester City Centre in Northern
England. The hoarding has since been removed for a car park, it was quite a difficult shot, it is the busiest bus route in Europe!
There are a couple of films I like to use, paticularly due to my aversion to flash.
- Ilford Delta 3200
- I really love this stuff. It is sensitive and has a pleasing grain, often I push it one stop to 6400 ASA, that is FAST. Use a fast lens, say f1.8 and
it has to get very dark before you have to use flash!
- Kodak T400 CN
- This is a C41 process B&W film, in other words it is a true B&W film but can be processed anywhere that does normal colour print film and you should be charged normal
colour print prices.
